    Your use of the term “helicopter parenting” suggests you’re predisposed to agree with that post. 🙂

    Well, maybe. After working as a teacher, I reckoned that more kids were in danger from their immediate family and family friends than from strangers. As a single parent with only one child, I have to work out my own boundaries regarding protectiveness. Where is the line drawn? I don’t want to stifle my daughter’s sense of adventure, where age-appropriate.
