A little funny, a little cringe-making

06 Nov

Love this gallery from Essential Baby. Stuff my kids ruined.

I’m grateful that my daughter only wanted to put zombie family stickers on our station wagon, rather than drawing her own artefacts for her pleasure.

This also reminds me of my best friend’s wise words: “When it’s quiet and you’ve got kids, it’s *suspiciously* quiet!”

Suspiciously quiet? Indeed. An opportunity for one boy to cut his younger brother’s hair while the middle one wrote “the cats’s breakfast” in texta on hall wall behind front door. I have no idea why he wrote that and neither did he. Their children now enjoy these tales.

Ha ha! Little kids love to hear what their parents got up to. Just as well I have a good memory for these things – though my brothers would rather I forgot some of their deeds of daring and stupidity. DD has been inspired.

Also, DD has cut her hair twice recently. New rule: no scissors in the bedroom, and bedroom door to be kept ajar at all times. I was right; it was suspiciously quiet that afternoon.

Thanks for dropping past my knitting blog. I hadn’t thought of the Questacon. Must suggest that. I have taken two grandchildren to the Powerhouse Museum here which is similar.
